great to see that people have the interest to keep the memory of the jrte alive,to me it is apart of australia's history,we were just boys when we joined up but from day one we were treated like men and had to behave like men,a big ask for 15 1/2 to 16 1/2 year olds, leeuwin was a great experience,i remember getting off the bus at leeuwin after a two day train ride from adelaide to the chorus of "you'll be sorry"some of the staff that i remember from 1967/68 are :CPO Yagamich, CPOME Sims,CPO Bacon, POSBA Hay,LSCK Eberhardt,ABCK "Borneo"bradley and LSPTI Strawbridge, hopefully fellas i will be able to help you with some photo's of the 20th intakes pass out.

John Pople,

I realise you'll probably never read this but I would be very interested in seeing photos of the 20th intake. My father was in that intake so it would be greatly appreciated. Just reply to this comment if you can help

I was in the 36th intake in Walton.
I do recall LSPTI Strawbridge (Strawbs) but sadly can't recall names of others except a few close friends.

I was in the 36th intake Marks, has anyone got any pictures or stories form that time. Some might remember, we had the shortest member to be taken into the R.A.N

Correct me if I am wrong however the 36th intake was Walton and Collins July 1971 not Marks and Morrow.

I have noticed quite a few JR websites are private. To me that is completely stupid and defeats the purpose.

I have just found this site for the first time. I am sorry to see it has not had the following it needs and things have dropped of. I was in Marks Div. October 1965. Please get some interest in the site and help build it up. Cheers Richard.

Hi. I was in the second last intake (85th) in Jan 84. I would like to hear from anyone else from that year. Although I was only there for 6 months (was transferred as a stoker apprentice).
